Meet Our Founder

Rev. Christopher Millard

A visionary and faith-driven leader, I am deeply committed to serving Christ and His Church by equipping others to grow in their faith, sharpen their abilities, and lead with conviction. With extensive experience in leadership development, team building, and community engagement, I have dedicated my life to creating environments where individuals and congregations thrive—both spiritually and relationally.

My journey in ministry began at Christ Church Cathedral in Lexington, Kentucky, where I sang in the Choir of Men and Boys and served as a young leader guiding emerging generations. Living atop the church’s soup kitchen, I developed a heart for mission, ministry, and the transformative power of the Gospel in action. These early experiences shaped my deep commitment to church revitalization, leadership development, and faith-based community engagement.

I earned my degree from Berea College in 1987 and was later ordained to the Anglican Diaconate in 2010. My background includes decades of hands-on leadership in church, educational, and community settings, where I have honed a diverse set of skills.

The Heart Behind Tilting at Windmills

Ministry is a calling, but it can also feel lonely and exhausting. You pour yourself into your church, your people, your mission—yet at times, it feels like no matter how hard you work, the pieces just won’t come together. The vision is there, but the path forward isn’t always clear.

I know that feeling well. That’s why I started Tilting at Windmills—to walk alongside church leaders like you, offering the guidance, encouragement, and practical support needed to bring clarity and renewed strength to your ministry. We take a holistic, restorative approach, helping churches identify challenges, refocus their vision, and build a plan that’s not just inspiring but truly sustainable.

This isn’t about quick fixes or one-size-fits-all solutions. Every church, every leader, and every journey is unique. That’s why we work with you where you are, helping you align your vision, team, and mission in a way that fuels lasting growth—without burning out in the process.

At the end of the day, you don’t have to do this alone. If you’re feeling stuck or just need fresh perspective, let’s start the conversation. Together, we can strengthen your church, your leadership, and your impact—one step at a time.
